This patch fixes numerous doxygen warnings across Asterisk. It also updates
the makefile to regenerate the doxygen configuration on the local system
before running doxygen to help prevent warnings/errors on the local system.
Much thanks to Andrew for tackling one of the Asterisk janitor projects!

This patch adds Named ACL functionality to Asterisk. This allows system
administrators to define an ACL and refer to it by a unique name. Configurable
items can then refer to that name when specifying access control lists.
It also includes updates to all core supported consumers of ACLs. That includes
manager, chan_sip, and chan_iax2. This feature is based on the deluxepine-trunk
by Olle E. Johansson and provides a subset of the Named ACL functionality
implemented in that branch. For more information on this feature, see acl.conf
and/or the Asterisk wiki.

Presence support has been added. This is accomplished by
allowing for presence hints in addition to device state
hints. A dialplan function called PRESENCE_STATE has been
added to allow for setting and reading presence. Presence
can be transmitted to Digium phones using custom XML
elements in a PIDF presence document.
Voicemail has new APIs that allow for moving, removing,
forwarding, and playing messages. Messages have had a new
unique message ID added to them so that the APIs will work
reliably. The state of a voicemail mailbox can be obtained
using an API that allows one to get a snapshot of the mailbox.
A voicemail Dialplan App called VoiceMailPlayMsg has been
added to be able to play back a specific message.
Configuration hooks have been added. Configuration hooks
allow for a piece of code to be executed when a specific
configuration file is loaded by a specific module. This is
useful for modules that are dependent on the configuration
of other modules.
chan_sip now has a public method that allows for a custom
SIP INFO request to be sent mid-dialog. Digium phones use
this in order to display progress bars when files are played.
Messaging support has been expanded a bit. The main
visible difference is the addition of an AMI action
MessageSend.
Finally, a ParkingLots manager action has been added in order
to get a list of parking lots.

This framework adds a way to register the various options in a config
file with Asterisk and to handle loading and reloading of that config
in a consistent and atomic manner.

There were several problems with the dynamic realtime peer/user lookup
code. The lookup logic had become rather hard to read due to lots of
incremental changes to the realtime_peer function. And, during the
addition of the sipregs functionality, several possibilities for memory
leaks had been introduced. The insecure=port matching has always been
broken for anyone using the sipregs family. And, related, the broken
implementation forced those using sipregs to *still* have an ipaddr
column on their sippeers table.
Thanks Terry Wilson for comprehensive testing and finding and fixing
unexpected behaviour from the multientry realtime call which caused
the realtime_peer to have a completely unused code path.
This changeset fixes the leaks, the lookup inconsistenties and that
you won't need an ipaddr column on your sippeers table anymore (when
you're using sipregs). Beware that when you're using sipregs, peers
with insecure=port will now start matching!

Fix potential memory allocation failure crashes in config.c.
* Added required checks to the returned memory allocation pointers to
prevent crashes.
* Made ast_include_rename() create a replacement ast_variable list node if
the new filename is longer than the available space. Fixes potential
crash and memory leak.
* Factored out ast_variable_move() from ast_variable_update() so
ast_include_rename() can also use it when creating a replacement
ast_variable list node.
* Made the filename stuffed at the end of the struct a minimum allocated
size in ast_variable_new() in case ast_include_rename() changes the stored
filename.
* Constify struct char pointers pointing to strings stuffed at the end of
the struct for: ast_variable, cache_file_mtime, and ast_config_map.
* Factored out cfmtime_new() to remove inlined code and allow some struct
pointers to become const.
* Removed the list lock from struct cache_file_mtime that was never used.
* Added doxygen comments to several structure elements and better
documented what strings are stuffed at the struct end char array.
* Reworked ast_config_text_file_save() and set_fn() to handle allocation
failure of the include file scratch pad object tracking blank lines.
* Made ast_config_text_file_save() fn[] declared with PATH_MAX to ensure
it is long enough for any filename with path. Also reduced the number of
container fileset buckets from a rediculus 180,000 to 1023.

This adds a generic API for accommodating IPv6 and IPv4 addresses
within Asterisk. While many files have been updated to make use of the
API, chan_sip and the RTP code are the files which actually support
IPv6 addresses at the time of this commit. The way has been paved for
easier upgrading for other files in the near future, though.
Big thanks go to Simon Perrault, Marc Blanchet, and Jean-Philippe Dionne
for their hard work on this.

Copied from my review board description:
This is a continuation of the API changes documentation started for describing
changes between releases. Most of the API changes were pretty simple needing
only to be brought to attention via the new "Asterisk API Changes" list.
However, if you see anything that needs further explanation feel free to
supplement what is there. The current method of documenting is to add (in the
header file): \version <ver number> <description of changes> and then to add
the function to the change list in doxyref.h on the AstAPIChanges page. I also
made sure all the functions that were newly added were tagged with \since
1.6.1. I think this is a good habit to start both for the historical aspect as
well as for the future ability to easily add a "New Asterisk API" page.

'update2', which permits updates which match across multiple columns, instead
of requiring all tables to have a single unique identifier. All of the other
API calls with the exception of 'update' already had the ability to match on
multiple fields, so it was a missing and very desireable feature that an API
call implementing an update should have this, too.
This does not change any outward performance of Asterisk, but it should make
life easier for application developers who use the RealTime framework.

when a file is invalid from when a file is missing. This is most important when
we have two configuration files. Consider the following example:
Old system:
sip.conf users.conf Old result New result
======== ========== ========== ==========
Missing Missing SIP doesn't load SIP doesn't load
Missing OK SIP doesn't load SIP doesn't load
Missing Invalid SIP doesn't load SIP doesn't load
OK Missing SIP loads SIP loads
OK OK SIP loads SIP loads
OK Invalid SIP loads incompletely SIP doesn't load
Invalid Missing SIP doesn't load SIP doesn't load
Invalid OK SIP doesn't load SIP doesn't load
Invalid Invalid SIP doesn't load SIP doesn't load
So in the case when users.conf doesn't load because there's a typo that
disrupts the syntax, we may only partially load users, instead of failing with
an error, which may cause some calls not to get processed. Worse yet, the old
system would do this with no indication that anything was even wrong.

see description in config.h .
They are a variant of the set of macros i used in chan_oss.c,
structured in a way to be more robust to the presence of
spurious ';' - basically, they define wrappers for 'do {'
and '} while (0)', plus some helper functions to deal with simple
cases such as ast_copy_string, ast_malloc, strtoul, ast_true ...
The prefix (CV_ as 'Config Variable') tries to be easy to remember
and has been chosen to not conflict with other existing macros in the tree.
For the time being, I have only updated the three source files in the
tree that used the old M_* macros. Hopefully, more files will be
converted.
NOTE:
I understand that inventing my own dialect of C is generally wrong;
however, the lack of adequate support in the language encourages
lazy programming practices (such as ignoring errors, bounds, etc.)
and this increases the chance of vulnerability in the code, especially
because we are parsing user input here.
Hopefully, these macros and the use of ast_parse_arg (in config.h)
should encourage the programmer to write more robust code.

build times - tested, there is no measureable difference before and

In this change:
use asterisk/compat.h to include a small set of system headers:
inttypes.h, unistd.h, stddef.h, stddint.h, sys/types.h, stdarg.h,
stdlib.h, alloca.h, stdio.h
Where available, the inclusion is conditional on HAVE_FOO_H as determined
by autoconf.
Normally, source files should not include any of the above system headers,
and instead use either "asterisk.h" or "asterisk/compat.h" which does it
better.
For the time being I have left alone second-level directories
(main/db1-ast, etc.).

didn't add it to 1.4 yet, because it's not entirely clear to me if this is a bug fix or an enhancement. A lot of files were affected by small changes like ast_variable_new getting an added arg, for the file name the var was defined in; ast_category_new gets added args of filename and lineno; ast_category and ast_variable structures now record file and lineno for each entry; a list of all #include and #execs in a config file (or any of its inclusions are now kept in the ast_config struct; at save time, each entry is put back into its proper file of origin, in order. #include and #exec directives are folded in properly. Headers indicating that the file was generated, are generated also for each included file. Some changes to main/manager.c to take care of file renaming, via the UpdateConfig command. Multiple inclusions of the same file are handled by exploding these into multiple include files, uniquely named. There's probably more, but I can't remember it right now.

Now matches are made on both the IP address and port number, or if the insecure setting is set to "port" then just match on the

in a consistent way. This is meant to replace the custom code
which is repeated all over the place in the various files when
parsing config files, CLI entries and other string information.
Right now the code supports parsing int32, uint32 and sockaddr_in with
optional default values and bound checks. It contains minimal error
checking, but that can be easily extended as the need arises.
Being a new API i am introducing this only in trunk, though I believe
that once the interface has been ironed out it might become a
worthwhile addition to 1.4 as well - basically, the first time
we will need to fix a piece of argument parsing code, we might as
well bring in this change and use the new API instead.
