2011-11-18Fix a change in behavior in 'database show' from 1.8.Tilghman Lesher
In 1.8 and previous versions, one could use any fullword portion of the key name, including the full key, to obtain the record. Until this patch, this did not work for the full key. 2011-07-06Replace Berkeley DB with SQLite 3Terry Wilson
There were some bugs in the very ancient version of Berkeley DB that Asterisk used. Instead of spending the time tracking down the bugs in the Berkeley code we move to the much better documented SQLite 3. Conversion of the old astdb happens at runtime by running the included astdb2sqlite3 utility. The ast_db API with SQLite 3 backend should behave identically to the old Berkeley backend, but in the future we could offer a much more robust interface. We do not include the SQLite 3 library in the source tree, but instead rely upon the distribution-provided libraries. Since there can be no duplicates, this just makes sure that we stop after matching the last key. This patch also refactors the code to get away from some code duplication. Astdb was determined to be one of the most significant bottlenecks in SIP registration processing. This patch improved the speed of an astdb load test by 50000% (yes, Fifty-Thousand Percent). On this particular load test setup, this doubled the number of SIP registrations the server could handle. A new xml element was created to manage the AMI actions documentation, using AstXML. To register a manager action using XML documentation it is now possible using ast_manager_register_xml(). The CLI command 'manager show command' can be used to show the parsed documentation. 1) Add the Dialplan class, for NewExten and VarSet events, which should cut down on the volume of traffic in the Call class. 2) Permit some commands to be run from multiple classes, such as allowing DBGet to be run from either the System or the Reporting class. 3) Heavily document each class in the sample config, as there were several that made no sense to be in the write= line, and two that made no sense to be in the read= line (since they controlled no permissions there). build times - tested, there is no measureable difference before and after this commit. In this change: use asterisk/compat.h to include a small set of system headers: inttypes.h, unistd.h, stddef.h, stddint.h, sys/types.h, stdarg.h, stdlib.h, alloca.h, stdio.h Where available, the inclusion is conditional on HAVE_FOO_H as determined by autoconf. Normally, source files should not include any of the above system headers, and instead use either "asterisk.h" or "asterisk/compat.h" which does it better.
